Kevin McLellan |
MFA graduate of Vermont College, and
instructor of poetry workshops at The Cambridge Center for Adult Education,
Kevin McLellan has recent or forthcoming poems in journals including:
Barrow Street. BLOOM, Exquisite Corpse, Konundrum Engine Literary Review,
Lodestar Quarterly, MiPOesias, three candles, and others.

Michael Kozlowski
|
Michael Kozlowski is currently a
freelance writer living in New York City. He has short stories and poetry
published in upcoming issues of Red Wheelbarrow and Dispatch
Literary Magazine. He has a degree in English, is working on his second,
and has a certificate in screenwriting from NYU. Silence has held him
captive for far too long.

Adam Dupaski
|
Adam Dupaski teaches English to
Poles, and occasionally Belorussians, in Krakow, Poland. Originally from Ohio,
he lives near Stary Kleparz market, and is able to play drums about once every
two weeks. This is his first publication.

J. Michael Wahlgren
|
J. Michael Wahlgren's work has
appeared in Flutter and will appear in Watching the Wheels: A
Blackbird. He has a chapbook coming out from Maverick Duck Press in December 2007.

Lisa Zaran |
Lisa Zaran is a poet, essayist and
occassional interviewer living in Arizona. She has authored six collections
(two full length, four chapbooks). Her first collection, the sometimes
girl, is currently the focus of a translation course in Germany. Some
current venues where her poetry can be found include Great Works, Ugly
Accent, Mannequin Envy, Laura Hird, Soul to Soul, Unlikely Stories, the-Beat
and others. She is the founder and editor of the online poetry journal,
Contemporary American Voices.

Jamie
Parsley |
Jamie Parsley is the author of seven
books of poems, including Paper Doves, Falling (1992), The
Loneliness of Blizzards (1995), Cloud (1997), The Wounded Table
(1999), no stars, no moon: new and collected haiku (2004), Ikon
(2005) and Just Once, which was just published by Loonfeather Press in
February, 2007. Jamie received the MFA from Vermont College. In 2004,
Jamie was named Associate Poet Laureate of North Dakota by current Poet
Laureate Larry Woiwode.

Catherine Fleming |
Catherine Fleming is a Creative
Writing student at Curtin University in Western Australia. She has had poems
published in Mundaring Sharing magazine and has an essay in
Sitelines.

Aaron Belz
|
Aaron Belz writes poetry in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. His work has appeared in Boston Review, Fence, Painted Bride Quarterly, Black Clock and other places, and his first full-length book, The Bird Hoverer was published by BlazeVOX in 2007. Another of his manuscripts, Clementines, was selected as a runner-up for the 2006 Marsh Hawk Press contest by Denise Duhamel, who writes:
"Aaron Belz is a gravely hilarious poet . . . his ferocious intelligence, his love of glitz, and his wry take on relationships (both human and animal) are irrestistable. His voice is bold, wise, inimitable."

Mark Sawyer |
Mark Sawyer lives and wanders in
Western North Carolina. He is a husband, father, part time photographer, and
writes when he can or when he must which ever comes first. He has been
published in such places as Sour Grapes, Mad Swirl, Zygote in My Coffee,
WAH, the Memphis University Helmsmen, and the BRCC annual
poetry review.

Des Donnelly |
Des Donnelly was born in Co Tyrone,
Ireland in the middle of the last century. Working exclusively in the
electronic domain Donnelly says;- "the evolving nature of technology is
changing the relationship between writer and reader. It is written now - it is

Karen Neuberg |
Karen Neuberg's work has been
published in literature journals such as Barrow Street, Columbia Poetry
Review, Elixir, Diner, and Phoebe, and on-line for Blue-Fifth
Review, The Diagram, Toasted-Cheese, and others. She has been nominated
for a Pushcart Prize.

Eric Hevesy
|
Eric Hevesy received his degree in
English Lit. from the Ohio State University in Spring 2006. He currently
lives in Cleveland, Ohio. IHe recently moved to China to teach English as a
foreign language because he just spent lots of money in Barcelona while
getting his TEFL degree and he figures he better use the degree for something.
He has aspirations to one day publish books of poetry titled After Rowing
Juliet, Christopher Sings Columbus Songs, and The Eloquence of Spanish
Guitar, however, he’s just started sending his poetry out with hope that
he'll be published.

Cathy Carroll |
Cathy Carroll lives and writes in
Ontario, Canada. Her dream is to have her poetry appear in Right Hand
Pointing. We wonder what she'll dream about now.

andrea
k. bennett lives in guelph, ontario. she previously published a chapbook
entitled notes from beside you on the bed. she's currently finishing up
a prolonged degree, and reserves the use of capitals for special occasions.

Emily Spreiser |
Emily Spreiser is
currently a senior at Brandeis University outside of Boston and plans to
attend law school. When she is not at school she resides in California.
Emily is coeditor of Laurel Moon, a student literary publication at
Brandeis.

Zachary Bush |
Zachary C. Bush, 23, is a writer of
poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and magazine features. He lives in
Georgia with his two cats: Luna and Tic-Tac. His recent works have appeared
or are forthcoming in edifice WRECKED, 5th Story Review, Non Euclidean
Cafe, Eloquent Stories, Cerebral Catalyst, and Locust Magazine.
We believe his bio, although not especially long, is longer than the poem
published in this issue.

Scott Garson |
Scott Garson has lived recently
in Santa Cruz but was moving when we got his submission early this year. His
work has appeared lately in Hobart and Quick
Fiction.

J. R. Salling |
J. R. Salling is an antiquarian
bookseller specializing in the history of science and medicine, a fact
sometimes reflected in his written work, more often not. His writings have
appeared in many publications including Pindeldyboz, Flashquake, Eyeshot,
T-Zero, Thieves Jargon, Mad Hatters' Review, and Rose & Thorn.

Christine Surka |
Christine Surka is a student at
Brandeis University majoring in
biology and biochemistry. She is planning a career in medical
research. She edits the Brandeis literary magazine Laurel Moon.
Outside of campus she has been published in BlazeVOX, Void Magazine,
Words-Myth, elimae, Sugar Mule, and HiNgE. She also enjoys running,
biking, travel, and photography. We wished she lived near us so we could
just yell out "Surka!!" if we needed her. She is one of two Brandeis
people appearing in this issue.

Nicholas Ripatrazone |
Nicholas Ripatrazone
lives in New Jersey with his wife
Jennifer and teaches literature and novel-writing at Bridgewater-Raritan
Regional High School. He has poetry forthcoming in Boston Literary
Magazine and short-fiction forthcoming in Leaving Home: Stories of
Coming and Going, published by Hourglass Books.

Timothy Gager
|
Timothy Gager is the author of
Short Street and Twenty-Six Pack, both collections of short fiction
and the e-book, The Damned Middle. His first book of poetry, The
same corner of the Bar, is available through Ibbetson Street Press and his
most recent, We Needed A Night Out, was released in 2006. His short
stories appeared in Word Riot, Midnight Mind Magazine, Scene Boston,
Theive's Jargon, The Insights Anthology, VerbSap, Swankwriting (83 Words),
Story Garden and Write This Magazine. Timothy's poetry has been
published in The Ibbetson Street Journal, Poems for All, Erato, Poetry Life
and Times, Spare Change, The Somerville News, Generation X National
Journal,High Horse, Third Lung Review, 63 Channels and Poesy XXIV.
His poetry has been nominated for two Cambridge Poetry Awards. Timothy lives
in Dedham, Massachusetts and is employed as a social worker. He had work
in the Issue 14 of Right Hand Pointing.

Larry D. Thomas |
Larry D. Thomas has published five
collections of poems, the most recent of which is Stark Beauty
(Timberline Press, 2005). His sixth poetry collection, With the Light of
Apricots (a web chapbook), is forthcoming from Lily Press, publisher of
Lily Literary Review, in February 2007. His work has received two
Texas Review Poetry Prizes (2001 and 2004), the Violet Crown Book
Award (Writers' League of Texas), and two Pushcart Prize nominations. On
April 19, Larry was appointed by the Texas Legislature as the 2008 Texas State
Poet Laureate.
